Currently sitting at the top of Ligue 1, PSG is preparing for the upcoming transfer window. However, president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has denied rumors of a potential signing.

For several days now, the rumour mill in both France and England has been buzzing with reports linking Mohamed Salah to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Egyptian forward, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the 2024/2025 season, has been the subject of much speculation.

Media outlets like L’Equipe and TalkSport have suggested that Salah could join PSG on a free transfer next summer, with negotiations already underway between his representatives and the French giants.

Despite these claims, a new wave of rumours has cast doubt on the legitimacy of this move.

British journalist Ben Jacobs has raised questions about the reports, suggesting that Salah may have intentionally leaked the information to put pressure on Liverpool.

According to Jacobs, this strategy could be a tactic to secure a better deal at Anfield or force the club to take action regarding his future.

Quoted by Canal Supporters, in response to the growing speculation, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has firmly denied any interest in signing Salah. The Qatari executive dismissed the rumours with a simple swipe of the hand.

“It’s not true. He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest. Al-Khelaifi said. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumor about us is simply not true.”

This strong denial has left many wondering if the story was simply a fabrication or if there is a hidden agenda behind the ongoing speculation.

While Salah’s future remains uncertain, it seems clear that PSG is not currently pursuing him, despite the claims from several media outlets.

What’s next for PSG?

Although a move for Mohamed Salah seems off the table for now, Al-Khelaifi has hinted that PSG could still be active in the January transfer window.

When asked whether the club might look to strengthen its squad this winter, the president left the door open for potential new arrivals. “If there’s an opportunity, we will of course explore.“ he remarked.

While no concrete targets have been named, it’s clear that PSG remains open to reinforcing its squad.

With a star-studded team already in place, the French side may look to add more depth or perhaps make a splash with a high-profile signing.

Whether this involves Salah or another player remains to be seen, but for now, the Egyptian forward looks set to remain at Liverpool, with his future still very much up in the air.
