“PSG is more interesting”: Lokomotiv Moscow’s Aleksey Batrakov drops transfer bombshell
Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Aleksey Batrakov clarifies his official position on the recent rumours linking him with PSG.
Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Aleksey Batrakov has revealed that he personally likes PSG for a possible transfer.
Speaking in an interview with Sport24.ru via Foot Mercato, Batrakov clarified the recent rumours suggesting a potential move to PSG, spiraling ever since the Lokomotiv captain Anton Mitryushkin revealed the midfielder’s desire to play for the European champions.
The 20-year-old claimed that he supported PSG during the Champions League final against Arsenal as he broke his silence for the first time in his transfer saga. He said: “PSG. Especially thanks to Safonov. PSG is more interesting. I don’t like Arsenal’s style: they played very defensive football all season. The way the match unfolded was therefore logical after Havertz’s early goal. But it certainly wasn’t boring.”
Batrakov talked about how Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has become an instant superstar at PSG after joining the club from Napoli, as he remarked, “Khvicha’s journey speaks for itself: everyone has a chance. If you make it to Europe, everything is in your hands. Khvicha is excellent; he demonstrates exceptional quality.“
The Russian international did not hold back from commenting on the recent to-and-fro surrounding his future, ” Lately, there’s been far too much talk about me and a possible transfer. I try to ignore it. Especially when I’m criticized and people write that I don’t deserve it. If something happens between clubs, the agents inform me. But for now, being with the national team, I’ve asked them not to say anything ,” he confided.
As of now, Paris Saint-Germain are not looking to sign Batrakov this summer, as per an earlier report.
