€100m RB Leipzig winger snubs PSG, Manchester United & Liverpool to make shock future announcement
RB Leizpig's €100 million teenage sensation signals a clear no to potential buyers PSG, Man United and Liverpool
PSG target Yan Diomande has nodded towards an extended stay at RB Leipzig despite recent rumours.
Speaking in an interview with German news outlet Kicker via Foot Mercato, the 19-year-old replied with a straight “yes” when asked about whether he would stay with the Die Roten Bullen next season.
However, Diomande expressed his ambition of playing at the highest stage in Europe and featuring for the Ivory Coast in the World Cup. He said: “I’m under contract in Leipzig and I enjoy playing here. But after that, nobody knows what will happen. Everyone has ambitions, including me. My dream is to play at the highest level possible.”
The winger is currently contracted with Leipzig till the summer of 2030 (with no release clause), and he has enough time on his side to make a better decision on his future. Even if the opportunity for PSG does not arrive this upcoming transfer window to make a deal, they can wait till the winter and come again.
The Saxony-based club are hoping for an offer of around €100 million from interested parties this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich in the running. While there is no shortage of clubs to get the services of the talented teenager, the call on his future rests upon him in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, PSG have made it clear not to progress any deals regarding new signings or contract renewals until the conclusion of their Champions League final against Premier League giants Arsenal.
