PSG prepare second offer for Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez
European champions PSG are set to send their second bid to Atletico Madrid to seal the deal for Argentine forward Julian Alvarez
PSG are set to come forth with their second offer for Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez soon.
According to a report by Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito (via Le10Sport), PSG are so interested in recruiting Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez that they made an offer of €120 million alongside Goncalo Ramos and Lee Kang-In as exchange players almost a month ago, with a salary worth €1.5 million per month, similar to that of Ousmane Dembele.
However, Los Colchoneros rejected it, which was followed by a transfer fiasco due to Barcelona’s approach for the Argentine striker. Atletico Madrid once again closed the doors for the Catalans to go for the player, leaving PSG and Arsenal as the two competitors left to make the huge deal.
Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has made Alvarez’s signing a priority, and sporting director Luis Campos is working behind the scenes to get the player to the French capital. As things stand, PSG are readying another offer for the 26-year-old, and this upcoming proposal could reach Atletico Madrid’s asking price.
It remains to be seen whether Les Parisiens want to add exchange players again in the deal. Ramos and Lee Kang-In look set to leave, but much will depend on their personal wishes to play for Atletico Madrid. Alvarez has yet to show a public display of intent to join the European champions. Campos is looking for the same green light from the player’s entourage that was given to Barcelona in recent weeks, but it is will be a giant task to convince him to join a well-stacked team like PSG.
