Liverpool turns to Bundesliga star as PSG unlikely to sell Bradley Barcola
Liverpool turns to Bundesliga winger as PSG might not be willing to sell Bradley Barcola.
The story PSG is writing in European soccer is not going unnoticed by the world’s biggest clubs. According to reports, Liverpool is interested in winger Bradley Barcola, one of head coach Luis Enrique’s offensive pieces, although they could look at other options given the Frenchman’s status at the Parisian club.
Barcola, 23, is not an undisputed starter at PSG, like almost no forward under Enrique’s orders. However, there are practically immovable pieces like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele. This has increased speculation around Bradley.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool is interested in Barcola. However, aware that PSG would unlikely agree to sell him, they now have another absolute priority: RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.
Diomande, 19, fits the Reds’ needs, according to the report. “With Salah’s departure at the end of the season confirmed, the Reds are prioritizing a dynamic, youthful replacement capable of delivering goals and creativity on the flanks. Diomande fits the profile perfectly,” TEAMtalk’s Fraser Fletcher wrote.
Barcola has a contract with PSG until 2028, so any potential sale this summer would have to materialize at a high price.
And it must be said. It is not that Barcola does not play, because he does, and quite a bit. The issue is that when everyone is fit and available, and important knockout matches in the Champions League approach, the choice is usually clear: Kvaratskhelia, 25, Dembele, 28, and Desire Doue, 20 start, while Bradley remains on the bench.
We will see how Enrique and his staff manage this situation for next season. As for Liverpool, there is no doubt that they will be protagonists in the next transfer window.
