PSG have started 2025 in near-perfect fashion, being crowned champions of the Trophée des Champions after defeating AS Monaco.

This title represents the Parisian club’s first trophy of the year, consolidating their position as one of the most dominant teams in France.

In addition to this success on the pitch, PSG are in the midst of a hectic winter transfer window, with significant moves that could define the rest of the season.

Among the rumours, there is talk of the possible departure of one of PSG’s most important and youth-trained players, who could be on his way to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Also, the future of prominent defender Nuno Mendes is in the spotlight, with several clubs, including Manchester United, interested in his services.

Mendez’s renewal with PSG is in doubt, leading to even more speculation about his next destination.

Fabrizio Romano denies PSG’s interest in Christopher Nkunku

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has denied rumours that PSG and Chelsea are in advanced talks over Christopher Nkunku.

One of the possible signings for PSG was Christopher Nkunku, the current Chelsea striker and former player of the Parisian club, who at 27 years of age has a very positive sporting performance.

According to Fabrizio, although the French player could leave Chelsea in this transfer window, there is nothing concrete regarding his return to PSG.

PSG’s interest in bringing back Nkunku has been a recurring theme in recent years, but so far, it has only been rumours.

With the transfer market in full swing, speculation is likely to continue, although, as Fabrizio Romano pointed out, it seems unlikely that Nkunku is in manager Luis Enrique’s immediate plans.

Christopher Nkunku’s brief spell at PSG

Transfermarkt shows us the statistics of Nkunku, who had a fleeting spell at PSG, making his debut in Ligue 1 wearing the colours of the Parisian club, participating in 78 matches and scoring 11 goals.

His talent took him to RB Leipzig, where he stood out notably, playing 172 matches, scoring 70 goals and providing 54 assists, figures that reflect his evolution as a player.

PSG remains focused on strengthening its squad to continue its dominance in France and compete in Europe, while fans eagerly await the club’s next moves in this transfer window.
