The January window is going to be mainly focused for PSG on clearing out the bench of players they no longer want, and Fabrizio Romano has recently given an update on one of those players’ future.

With a surplus in attack, Randal Kolo Muani is one of those players who could be on their way out.

Rumors recently swirled about a loan to a fellow Ligue 1 side, but Romano suggests a departure from his home country is in order for the French striker.

The three clubs Fabrizio lists as potential landing spots for Kolo Muani are Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Juventus, but he says more unnamed clubs are involved as well.

Tottenham was linked to Kolo Muani in the summer of 2023 before he moved to PSG, so it is no surprise that they are back on his file, this time for a much cheaper price tag than the 95 million PSG paid to Frankfurt.

Juventus is an interesting case. Thiago Motta usually runs a 4-2-3-1, and they have a star striker in Dusan Vlahovic. If Kolo Muani were to move to Italy, it is likely we would see him playing down the left wing, which is something that some fans have called for him to do with PSG that never came to fruition.

Aston Villa is the final team mentioned. They were linked to Kolo Muani in a swap deal for one of their young strikers a few days ago, and now it seems like that rumor is certainly something that could materialize for PSG.

Potential other suitors

The main other club to look at is Manchester United.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein recently reported that United is one of the favorites to sign Kolo Muani, which when paired with the fact that PSG is interested in one of United’s big attackers, makes them a good pairing for a deal.

Potentially if the swap deal with Aston Villa fails, PSG could look to make a swap with the Red Devils.
