It is no secret PSG’s attack has been a weak point of the team this year. In the Champions League, they have only received one goal combined from their attackers.
It seems likely they could try to bolster that attack this January, and reports suggest they could look to England to find those reinforcements.
Just hours after the rumor linking PSG with Mohamed Salah surfaced, new information has emerged.
According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku would be the top name to look out for, with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford also seemingly a possibility.

PSG could bring Christopher Nkunku back to the club
Nkunku is familiar with the club, having come out of PSG’s academy. He has since moved to RB Leipzig and then Chelsea, but Jacobs’ report suggests he could return.
Nkunku has 17 goals in 27 appearances this season after a tough first season in London, and he has been great in the UEFA Conference League.

Jacobs mentioned that managed Luis Enrique wants more of a central attacker, and Nkunku fits the profile that Enrique likes. He can play with the ball at his feet and is a very good option as a false nine.
Nkunku moved for 60 million Euros in the summer of 2023, but he has likely not done enough for Chelsea to get that money back.
He had an injury-plagued first season and has not lived up to Chelsea’s expectations this year with Cole Palmer taking on the role that he played in Germany.
If PSG can get him for a fee of around 45 million Euros, it could be great business for them.
Rashford is a reclamation project, but Nkunku makes more sense
Marcus Rashford seemed like he was going to be the next Manchester United superstar, but the English winger has not quite lived up to the lofty expectations.
He had an incredibly strong 2022-23 campaign, bagging 30 goals, but has only scored 15 times in 67 games since. He has gotten into some clashes with the managers and management, and that could lead to his exit.
The concerns about his work ethic might draw Luis Enrique away, but if PSG can get him on a cheaper fee, the competition with Bradley Barcola for the left-wing position could light a fire under him and get him back to his best.
Another block in this move could be his salary. PSG have tried to move away from giving players massive wages, but Rashford is currently earning nearly 400,000 Euros per week.
It is unlikely he would accept an exit from United if it doesn’t include payment similar to that, and PSG might be very hesitant to give him that.
With PSG interested in both, Nkunku is likely the one they would choose. His wages are roughly half of Rashford’s, he has been less problematic within his club, and he does not have the recent drop in form that Rashford has seen over the last two seasons.
