One of the goals of PSG this January is to unload the players who they are no longer counting on for the squad.

As rumors of a possible departure for Nuno Mendes from PSG multiply, the focus shifts instead to two players who seem set to leave the team.

One of the big names who could move is Milan Skriniar, but now an attacker who was recently nominated for the Ballon d’Or could move to one of PSG’s Ligue 1 rivals.

The team is AS Monaco, and the player is Randal Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani moved from Frankfurt to PSG on the deadline day of the 2023 summer window for 95 million but has failed to make a big impact in Paris.

Despite being nominated for the Ballon d’Or just 14 months ago, in PSG’s recent 1-0 win over the Monegasque club in the Trophee des Champions, Kolo Muani was not even included in the squad.

He has fallen out of favor in Luis Enrique’s lineups, only playing 350 minutes and scoring 2 goals.

The two clubs are separated in their asks

This report came from Saber Desfarges from Telefoot, who claims Monaco wants a loan while PSG wants a permanent sale.

Monaco offered PSG a 6 month loan to the end of the season, but the French club declined it.

This is somewhat of a surprising move, as if RKM played well in his time in Monaco then he could have increased his value for PSG to try to sell him in the summer.

Kolo Muani has been linked to a big swap move involving a Premier League club, so potentially trying to focus on that deal is why PSG declined to loan him to Monaco.
