PSG vs. Arsenal: Confirmed lineups for Champions League final
PSG and Arsenal name their respective starting elevens as both sides lock horns for a piece of Champions League silverware.
PSG boss Luis Enrique went forward with injury returnee Achraf Hakimi instead of Warren Zaire-Emery as his right back. The young Frenchman was experiencing a top campaign, but his performances were not enough to earn a starting role in the Champions League final. Enrique might be looking for experience to contain Bukayo Saka. Ousmane Dembele overcomes his minor knock to start the game while Desire Doue keeps his place in the lineup. Fabian Ruiz takes the pitch alongside Joao Neves and Vitinha.
As for Arsenal, head coach Mikel Arteta starts Cristhian Mosquera in the right-back position, as Jurrien Timber and Ben White remain out with their respective injuries. Declan Rice was recently deputised in the same role in a Premier League match, but the experiment failed miserably, and now Mosquera has the job to take care of the lethal Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kai Havertz and Miles Lewis-Skelly start for The Gunners, suggesting that Arteta wants calm and composition in that side of the park to outmanoeuvre the Paris Saint-Germain formation. Saka, Leandro Trossard and Havertz are the front three while Rice keeps his starting role in midfield.
