PSG plotting swoop for Manchester City and Liverpool target Maghnes Akliouche

PSG have accelerated their efforts to land the signature of Monaco man Maghnes Akliouche this summer.

The European champions are set to battle it out with Premier League giants like Manchester City and Liverpool for the signing of Monaco’s Akliouche, as per a report by L’Équipe.

The club from the Principality has no intention to make it easy for any club to get hold of the attacking midfielder, as they could go well above his €50 million market valuation. Maghnes Akliouche is a signing who would automatically replace Lee Kang-In if he decides to leave the club after the end of the campaign.

Atletico Madrid tried to get Akliouche last summer, but the Monegasques stayed firm on their asking price of around €80 million. This figure could go up next month, as Monaco are aware of interest from PSG and the Premier League, and they will hope to make the most of a potential transfer battle.

Despite the price rise, PSG keep their doors open for the 24-year-old, who could choose to join Luis Enrique’s team for a better rotation spot. Football Advisor Luis Campos has been following the French international for several months now, and his performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this season further made him a crucial target ahead of the new campaign.

Akliouche is set to mark a solid season with Monaco, having made 30 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring six goals and registering the same number of assists so far.
