Espaly FC 2-4 PSG: A victory full of surprises for the Parisians in the Coupe de France

PSG faced Espaly FC, a fifth division team from France, for the round of 32 of the Coupe de France, where surprises can happen.

In a match full of expectations where Luis Enrique would seek to align his best squad to qualify for the Coupe de France.

PSG advances to the round of 16 in the Coupe de France 4-2 against Espaly FC

In a match full of surprises, PSG managed to advance to the round of 16 of the Coupe de France, with a 2-4 victory over Espaly FC, suffering throughout the match.

Luis Enrique’s team faced a well-organised Espaly FC defensively, who even managed to take the lead, as shown by the development of the SofaScore match.

The match started with Espaly FC taking the lead in the 3rd minute thanks to a goal from Kevis Gjeci, after a great play from his goal to Arnau Tenas’ goal.

However, PSG’s reaction was not long in coming and, after dominating the game, Warren Zaire-Emery equalised in the 37th minute with a powerful shot from outside the area.

In the second half, Luis Enrique’s tactical changes, including the introduction of Kang In Lee, Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, gave PSG a new lease of life.

In the 67th minute, Desire Doue scored the 1-2 after an excellent assist from Bradley Barcola. However, the joy was short-lived, as Maxence Forunel equalised for Espaly FC in the 69th minute.

But there would be several decisive plays in the match, one of them where Nuno Mendes would send a fantastic cross that Bradley Barcola would finish in the 88th minute of the match.

And at the end of the match, sealing the final 2-4, Goncalo Ramos would score via penalty, so that PSG would advance in the competition to the next round.


The next challenge for PSG is Lens in Ligue 1

The next challenge for PSG will be on January 18, when they face Lens as visitors in Ligue 1.

Luis Enrique hopes to recover Marquinhos and Dembélé for this crucial match for the local league, where the Parisian club is comfortably leading with a large difference with respect to the second.

The team is also preparing for the match against Manchester City at the Parc des Princes on 22 January, in a decisive round of the UEFA Champions League.
