PSG comfortably win over Le Mans, with Presnel Kimpembe returning

PSG beat Le Mans, a team from the third division of French football, 2-0, with Presnel Kimpembe returning to an official match with the Parisians.

Despite the rotations in the lineup, the Parisian team showed their superiority with a convincing performance, achieving victory with goals from Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola.

Beyond the result, the match left a special moment for the team and the fans: the return of Presnel Kimpembe after a long absence due to injury.

After a difficult recovery from his Achilles tendon injury, Presnel Kimpembe returned to play an official match with PSG. He came on in the final minutes and played a total of 9 minutes, in which he put in an impeccable performance:

  • 9 touches of the ball
  • 9 passes completed (100% accuracy)

The French defender expressed his excitement at returning to the pitch, stressing that he has worked patiently for this moment and that he will take every opportunity to get back to his best form.

Presnel Kimpembe, a symbol of PSG

One of the most significant gestures of the match was when Achraf Hakimi handed the captain’s armband to Kimpembe, recognising his importance within the team.

At 29 years old, Presnel Kimpembe is a symbol of PSG, having spent his entire professional career at the club.

Since his debut in the 2014-2015 season, he has played a total of 237 games, in which he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists, as indicated by Transfermark.

His return is excellent news for Luis Enrique, who will once again have a leader in defence, and for the PSG fans, who see Kimpembe as a player with the club’s DNA.

Now, the objective will be to recover his best form and become a key part of the team’s formation again.
