The winter transfer market has ended and PSG has experienced a rather busy transfer window, with several key departures from its squad.

Although the Parisian team continues to build a solid project under the direction of Luis Enrique, strategic adjustments have been made with the aim of maintaining a highly competitive team.

Recent victories in Ligue 1, Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League have demonstrated the great collective level of PSG, beyond the individual brilliance of players such as Ousmane Dembele and Joao Neves.

However, the club has made important decisions regarding certain players who did not fit into the Spanish coach’s plans.

Six departures that marked a positive transfer window for PSG

During this transfer window, PSG made three important sales and three important moves without fully giving these players an exit.

Sales

  • Xavi Simons → RB Leipzig (€81M)
  • Cher Ndour → Fiorentina (€5M)
  • Juan Bernat → Free

Loans

  • Randal Kolo Muani → Juventus
  • Marco Asensio → Premier League
  • Milan Skriniar → Fenerbahce

This leaves very important cases for the squad to evaluate what the future of the players on loan will be like.

It is said that Luis Enrique is very happy with his squad and that we have also seen his great ambition to get everything with PSG.

The Xavi Simons case: an unexpected decision

Without a doubt, the most shocking sale was that of Xavi Simons. Despite the fact that PSG had high expectations for the young Dutchman.

The player opted for a change of direction and signed for RB Leipzig, which is not going through its best moment in the Bundesliga, as we can see in the SofaScore statistics.

His decision seemed to respond more to personal than sporting reasons, leaving aside PSG’s ambitious proposal.

Despite these departures, the club has found immediate solutions with signings such as Desire Doue and Kang-In Lee, who have shown brilliant performances in recent matches.

With an increasingly balanced squad, Luis Enrique’s PSG remains firm on its path to titles, with the great dream of winning the UEFA Champions League on the horizon.
