PSG getting close to closing deal on superstar winger

PSG’s interest in improving their attack this January has been well known.

They attempted a move for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia in the summer, and have tried again this January after the summer plot failed.

According to recent reports, however, Kvara is currently closer to Paris than he has ever been.

PSG has reportedly ironed out personal terms

The first major report comes from Fabrizio Romano, who says that the winger and Paris have agreed on personal terms.

The contract is expected to be five years in length, and it will run him to June 2029. Kvaratskhelia is currently making around 1.6 million per year at Napoli, so the salary agreed upon is likely around 8 million.

This is a surprisingly low value. The estimated number would put him as PSG’s 11th-highest earner, behind some players who haven’t even turned 20 yet.

Djamel reports that while other clubs, likely from the Premier League have called Kvaratskhelia to gauge his interest, he has turned down their offers and is set on joining PSG.

What will it take to get Napoli to sell?

If Djamel and Romano’s reports are accurate, it leaves only the negotiations with Napoli for PSG to finalize the deal.

While Napoli asked for a fee north of 120 million over the summer, they are not asking for that again now.

According to a report from Loic Tanzi, which also checks out and Romano’s report about the salary, PSG expects to finalize the deal in the 70 million range.

Recent reports also say that Milan Skriniar and Randal Kolo Muani, who were rumored to be swapped in the deal, are not likely to go to Napoli.

A price in that range would be a display of great negotiation skills by Luis Campos, as he cut the price by 50 million from what it was over the summer
