PSG’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been making headlines recently, and not just for his crucial saves on the field.

Following PSG’s 4-2 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League, Donnarumma took a moment to address his future with the club.

Despite what some may think, PSG doesn’t miss Kylian Mbappe, and they proved it in yesterday’s victory.

With rumors swirling about his next move, the Italian has some thoughts on where he stands and what comes next in his career.

Donnarumma has been under contract with PSG until 2026, and discussions about extending his deal have reportedly stalled.

However, he has made it clear that his priority is to stay with the Parisian giants, even though speculations about his potential return to Serie A have been circulating.

Donnarumma’s performance against Manchester City was a standout moment for PSG.

While many players, such as Joao Neves, Ousmane Dembele, and Bradley Barcola, were praised for their contributions, Donnarumma’s critical role as goalkeeper didn’t go unnoticed.

Often criticized for inconsistent performances in the Champions League, Donnarumma was a rock at the back for PSG when it mattered most.

He made several important saves, handled aerial duels with confidence, and showed precision with his footwork on goal kicks.

As PSG triumphed over Manchester City, Donnarumma’s performance was key to ensuring the win. The goalkeeper’s calm and collected presence provided stability when PSG needed it the most.

However, even though his on-field performance may have silenced critics, his future at PSG remains a subject of speculation.

The Italian has heard rumors about a possible move to Serie A or even Inter Milan, but he’s adamant about staying in Paris for the time being.

Donnarumma’s future and his dedication to PSG

When asked about his future, Donnarumma was straightforward in his response.

Speaking to Sky Italia and quoted by Canal Supporters, after the match he stated, “There are so many rumors, but the truth is that I am happy here. Everyone loves and respects me. I am very comfortable, and my priority is to extend my contract here.”

After their victory against Sparta Prague, Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, made it clear that the goalkeeper position wasn’t a priority for the club.

“We are looking at the market in June, but to be honest, the goalkeeper position is not our priority. We have two very strong goalkeepers,” he said.

As for his performance against Manchester City, Donnarumma was pleased with the team’s collective effort.

“This match gives us a lot of confidence in our game. We will continue like this,” he said.

He also noted that the win was an important step for PSG, but they must focus on their next match. “We played well, and personally, I am very happy to help the team. We will keep going.”

With his future at the club still uncertain, all eyes will remain on the Italian goalkeeper as he continues to perform at the highest level for PSG.
