PSG 4-2 Manchester City: Paris Saint-Germain player ratings

With an incredible comeback, PSG has positioned themselves well to move on in the Champions League.

They were unable to find a goal early, but after going down 2-0 in the 53rd minute they quickly scored twice, before Joao Neves put them ahead in the 77th minute and Goncalo Ramos finished off the game in extra time.

Gianluigi Donnarumma – 8

RB: Achraf Hakimi – 8

Hakimi was the most threatening player for PSG in the first half and could have done better if PSG had a centralized goal threat in the first part of the match.

CB: Willian Pacho – 7.5

CB: Marquinhos – 7

LB: Nuno Mendes – 6.5

Mendes had a rough stretch in the middle of the game, including him getting beaten by a dribble from center-back Manuel Akanji that led to City’s first goal.

CM: Joao Neves – 9.5

Man of the match

Neves was everywhere for PSG tonight. He won 11/16 duels, led the game with five tackles won, and of course the eventual winning goal in the 77th minute. Once again, Neves continues his world-class performances.

LW: Bradley Barcola – 8.5

Barcola was instrumental in the comeback efforts today, with his dribble and assist setting up the first goal of the match and then scoring the second himself.

CF: Lee Kang In – 5.5

RW: Desire Doue – 7.5

Luis Enrique – 7.5

While there was talking before the match about his decision to opt for Lee as a false nine instead of starting Ramos, this was the best we’ve seen the false nine work all season. His in-match decisions worked out very well, as PSG only got stronger as the match went on.
