Barcelona issued €95 million problem amid PSG winger interest
Barcelona has been issued a €95 million problem amid interest in a PSG winger.
Barcelona is one of the big European clubs interested in PSG winger Bradley Barcola, who is usually behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, and Désiré Doué in the Parisian forward hierarchy.
According to TransferFeed, Hansi Flick’s team is interested in Barcola, 23. However, a problem has arisen with his potential signing. Paris Saint-Germain would ask for no less than $104 million to consider selling the Frenchman.
“Reports from Spain state that any club wanting to sign Barcola will be required to pay close to €95 million ($104 million). This asking price could be a problem for Barcelona, who are working with financial constraints,” the specialized site explained.
For its part, Sport (h/t TransferFeed) explained that although Barcelona typically prefers a traditional striker, some individuals within the club are in favor of signing a versatile forward with Barcola’s characteristics.
“Although Deco and Hansi Flick typically prefer a true striker, some individuals within the club favor a versatile and powerful winger such as Barcola,” the cited outlet explained.
Luis Enrique relies on Barcola as key rotation piece for PSG
Frankly, it seems very complicated that manager Luis Enrique and sports advisor Luis Campos would let the French winger go, even if a huge offer arrives. Enrique has found a perfect formula to navigate each season in Paris, and for that, he needs a squad built to rotate every weekend.
Barcola fits into that category. And that is without mentioning that when Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé, or Doué have been absent due to injury or other reasons, it is Bradley who jumps into the starting lineup, always being a guarantee.
