With their big win over Manchester City, PSG has positioned themselves well going into the final day of the inaugural Champions League league phase.
In their final match, they will face Stuttgart at 9 PM CET.
They have plenty of different paths they could face based off of what happens in the final day, and in this article we will look at what their chances of making it through are, as well as who they could potentially play.
With a win:
With a win, PSG will finish with a record of 4W 1D 3L, and with 13 points.
Using the results predicted by OPTA’s supercomputer, this is what the part of the table playing in the play-off phase could potentially look like with a 2-1 PSG win.

OPTA predicts a close match between PSG and Stuttgart, with a 38% chance of a PSG win, 28.1% chance of a Stuttgart win, and a 33.9% chance of a draw.
Getting up to 16th means PSG would be one of the seeded teams, meaning they would face one of the randomly drawn teams from 17-24 in the play-off and take on the top of the table team, which in this case would be Liverpool, if they make it to the round of 16.
With a draw:
The good news for PSG is that with a draw, they are still guaranteed to go through, due to having the goal differential advantage over Stuttgart.

Here is how the 9-24 places in the table look if PSG is given a 1-1 draw. In this scenario, PSG would be entered into the pot for the draw and would get to play a random team between 9th and 16th.
With a loss:
With a loss, PSG’s hopes are not totally dead. OPTA suggests that even if they were to lose, they would have a 48% chance of advancing.
However, in this prediction, if they were to suffer a 2-1 defeat they would be knocked out.

There are two likely paths for PSG to still advance with a loss. The first is if Juventus beats Benfica by two or more goals, which would knock the Portuguese club down to 25th and put PSG 24th.
The other path is if the Manchester City vs Brugge match ends with anything other than a City victory, which would knock the English champions out and see PSG once again sliding in to the final spot.
