The Vitinha showdown: PSG’s €130m ultimatum to Real Madrid’s Ballon d’Or bid

An atypical transfer window for PSG has left both bitter and very positive feelings. However, Real Madrid are going all out to sign Paris’ biggest star.

The rumors keep growing that Real Madrid want to sign Vitinha, but PSG won’t make it easy, knowing he’s the top contender alongside Ousmane Dembélé for the Ballon d’Or and that they would be targeting one of the world’s best players.

The failed attempt to sign Rodri, after Manchester City closed their doors, has them focused on signing the Portuguese midfielder.

His price is around €90M, but without a doubt, Paris Saint-Germain wouldn’t let him leave for less than €130M – a figure that seems very high for what Real Madrid can offer.

But his season as PSG’s midfield anchor and his starring role for Portugal in the UEFA Nations League give him incredible added value that keeps driving his price up.

Vitinha is under contract with PSG until 2029, and the player’s confidence in Luis Enrique’s project is so strong that his departure seems very unlikely.

However, the future is uncertain, and just like the relationship between Donnarumma and PSG broke down, it could happen again. That’s why a departure isn’t 100% ruled out, especially considering Real Madrid aren’t looking to sign him this season but rather for 26/27.

We’ll see how this rumor develops, as what’s expected is a blockbuster signing from Real Madrid this transfer window to fix their current performance issues.

Meanwhile, PSG have already returned to training and are preparing more than ever to return to action on August 13th against Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup final.
