PSG’s next signings are good news for Manchester United, bad news for Tottenham

PSG are confident about finalizing the signings of Bournemouth’s Ilya Zabarnyi and Lille’s Lucas Chevalier in the coming days.

This was reported by Fabrizio Romano through his Twitter (X) account. The mentioned journalist said: “Paris Saint-Germain, confident to get both Lucas Chevalier and Ilya Zabarnyi deals done in the next days.”

“Zabarnyi’s move, at final stages since Thursday, and add-ons being discussed with Lille for Chevalier,” added Romano, before stating that both players want to play for PSG.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper and 21-year-old center-back will become the second and third signings of Luis Enrique’s team this summer, following the arrival of 19-year-old goalkeeper Renato Marin from Serie A side AS Roma.

PSG could facilitate a signing for Man United, but snatched a target from Tottenham

The arrival of Lucas Chevalier at PSG could mean a potential departure for Gianluigi Donnarumma, either this same summer or next, when his contract with the Parisians expires.

At 26 years old, the Italian has attracted interest from Manchester United, according to Sports Illustrated, and could be pushed toward an exit to Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Zabarnyi’s signing represents a market ‘steal’ from Tottenham, as according to Football Transfers, the London club had shown interest in signing the Ukrainian.

“Ilya Zabarnyi is set to join Paris Saint-Germain from Bournemouth, despite Tottenham Hotspur having a €70m bid accepted by their Premier League rivals,” wrote the mentioned portal.

That said, PSG’s summer has been very discreet. We’ll see if more rumors emerge in the coming days.
