Goncalo Ramos set to leave PSG this summer

PSG forward Goncalo Ramos has decided to depart the French capital this summer.

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano via Foot01, Ramos wants to leave PSG this summer due to a lack of gametime. While he remains popular with the squad and the fans, he is now demanding a more central role in a team, and head coach Luis Enrique is certainly not looking forward to give him one.

Unlike last summer, sporting director Luis Campos is willing to open the doors for the Portuguese’s departure. Therefore, the 24-year-old has been given the green light to talk with other clubs over personal terms and a potential transfer. However, he has been a professional throughout his career, and he is totally focused on the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal.

Atletico Madrid have contacted Ramos recently as they line up a replacement in the event of Julian Alvarez’s transfer. No concrete talks have taken place between the two clubs till now, but things could soon take shape after May 30, or when PSG is done with their season.

As Romano states: “We will be keeping a close eye on Gonçalo Ramos, as he is on his way out. He could leave PSG this summer, and according to my sources, discussions have already begun. Naturally, his focus remains squarely on the Champions League final—especially given that he is a consummate professional. He has never caused a single issue. Although he has frequently been benched during major matches over the past few seasons, his attitude has always remained exemplary. He is fantastic in training, and equally fantastic whenever he comes on as a substitute.”
