PSG latest signing could lead to a defender’s departure

Illya Zabarnyi is about to officially sign for PSG, and this could mean the end of Lucas Beraldo’s time in Paris.

Reports came out after the Club World Cup Final that Beraldo was looking into leaving Paris, but the club told him they would only accept those conditions if they found a replacement.

Where could Beraldo go?

One option that was mentioned for Beraldo was Bournemouth.

They have lost both of their starting center-backs, first seeing Dean Huijsen go to Real Madrid, then Zabarnyi to PSG.

Beraldo has experience against elite teams from his time playing in the Champions League with PSG, so this could be a good option for the English club to replace their departures.

Juventus was another team mentioned who could try to strike a deal.

What would a transfer look like?

When PSG signed Beraldo in 2024, he joined the club for 20 million.

Ideally for PSG, they would be able to turn a profit off of him.

While he hasn’t become the elite center back many hoped, he has still been a good player.

A deal of around 25-30 million Euros would be more than fair for PSG, who are also looking to sell another center back as well.
